Hanwha Samsung SSM Overview

The Hanwha Samsung SSM extension allows integration of this provider in Desigo CC video surveillance. In particular, it enables communication between the Video API (installed by the Video Management extension) and the SSM video management system.

The provider is not part of the Desigo CC installation. After installation, the provider MSI file is available in [Installation Drive]:\[Installation Folder]\GMSMainProject\AddSW\Hanwha_Samsung_SSM. For instructions, see Installing the Hanwha Samsung SSM Provider Software.

The Video extension is a prerequisite for the installation of this extension, as it installs the Video API to use with Desigo CC libraries to represents the video objects, and Video Manager that allows the communication between Desigo CC and the Video API.

This extension is covered by Desigo CC standard licensing.

The integration and configuration workflow is the same as for any other video management system in Desigo CC. Once the video system is connected, the video devices (NVRs and their cameras) available in the SSM configuration are automatically imported into Desigo CC. In Desigo CC, the following are also configured:

• Video monitors (to display live video images or play back images) organized in monitor groups.
• Video sequences

• Playback of video tracks recorded by the SSM application
