Enabling the IEE Occupancy Tool Events

You can enable one or more IEE Occupancy Tool events in Desigo CC. For background information, see IEE Occupancy Tool Commands, Events, and Symbols.

Prerequisites:

  • The IEEOccupancyTool_Adapter is installed and the Windows service is properly running.

 

Option 1 – Enable Events for All IEE Occupancy Tool Zones

Use this method to modify an alarm configuration for all IEE Occupancy zones.

  • You have the rights to access and modify the Desigo CC libraries.
  1. In the Headquarter IEE Occupancy Tool library, select the zone object model:
  • […] > Libraries > L1-Headquarter > Access > Device > IEE Occupancy Tool > Object Model > IEE Occupancy Tool Zone
  1. In the Models & Functions tab, click Customize .
    NOTE: If the icon is dimmed it means that the selected object model is already customized. Skip to step 4.
  1. Click OK.
  • The customized object model is added to the customized IEE Occupancy Tool library.
  1. Select the customized object model. For example: [...] > Libraries > L4-Project > Access > Device > IEE Occupancy Tool > Object Model > IEE Occupancy Tool Zone.
  1. In the Models & Functions tab, close the Main expander and open the Properties expander.
  1. In the list on the left, select the Property for which you want to enable the event. For example: CurrentOccupancy, NumberOfEntries, NumberOfExits.
  • The Details, Alarm Configuration and other expanders on the right update to show the settings of the selected property.
  1. In the Alarm Configuration expander, select the Alarm config.activated check box.
  1. Click Save .
  • The modified alarm configuration will apply to all the IEE Occupancy Tool zones that are based on this object model.

Option 2 – Enable Events for Individual IEE Occupancy Tool Zones

Use this method to modify an alarm configuration for individual IEE Occupancy zones.

  1. Select the IEE Occupancy Tool zone for which you want to enable alarm. For example: Project > Field Networks > [IEE Occupancy Tool Network] > [Zone].
    NOTE: You can also use CTRL or SHIFT to make a multiple selection, for example of two or more zones to which you want to apply the same modification.
  1. In the Object Configurator tab, close the Main expander and open the Properties expander.
  1. In the list on the left, select the Property for which you want to enable the event. For example: CurrentOccupancy, NumberOfEntries, NumberOfExits.
  • The Details, Alarm Configuration and other expanders on the right update to show the settings of the selected property.
  1. In the Alarm Configuration expander:
    a. Set the Valid field so it displays a gray (not blue) checkmark.
    b. Select the Alarm config.activated check box.
  1. Click Save .
  • The modified alarm configuration will apply to the selected IEE Occupancy Tool zones.
