CEI-ABI Configuration Files

The following describes the configuration files required for the CEI-ABI integration.

CEI Protocol Configuration (XML) File

A CEI protocol configuration file containing the configuration parameters of the CEI protocol is available for all the control units connected to the adapter. It is an XML file (a textual file describing data in Extensible Markup Language) located in the SORIS CEI Driver folder.

One XML file per adapter is used. Each file can be used to manage up to 255 branches of same panels or different panels to communicate parameters data.

CEI Protocol Configuration Files Templates

The CEI protocol XML file templates are deployed with the installation of the CEI-ABI extension and available at the following path:
[Installation Drive]:\[Installation Folder]\GMSMainProject\profiles.

Panel Configuration (CSV) File

These template files can be used to create custom configuration files by adding or removing objects according to the specific configuration. One CSV file per adapter is used.

Supported objects

Currently only the following objects are supported: zones, sensors, outputs, and control units.

CEI-ABI Configuration (CSV) Files

A CEI-ABI configuration file is available for each control unit connected to the adapter. These file are loaded when the adapter starts and consequently the devices configuration is discovered. Before discovery, you must manually edit the configuration data in a CSV file (a textual file containing comma separated values) and copy it to the SORIS CEI Driver folder. For instructions, see 6 – Discover CEI-ABI Devices.
