SICLIMAT X Export

Scenario: You want to migrate SICLIMAT X.

Reference: For general information on Siclimat X, see Siclimat X Reference.

Workflow diagram:

Prerequisites:

  • Service Pack 501 was successfully installed.

Steps:

1 – Preparing Graphics for Export
  1. In SICLIMAT X, select Projektierung > Tools > PicExport.
  • The PicExport opens.
  1. Select the directories and pictures you want to export.
  1. Select Modus > blockiert.
  1. Click Bilderbeschreibung.
  1. Select the required entries in the list.
  1. Click exportieren.
  • The selected pictures are placed in a default location that is checked when you export the graphics.

2 – Exporting SICLIMAT X Data
  • You have prepared graphics for export.
  1. Log on to the console as the sicx user.
  1. Do one of the following:
  • Run the siclimat_export_repo script, to create an export repository.
  • Run the siclimat_export_repo-change, to create an export repository and to change the Siclimat X technological objectname with the object username in the export, so during the import in Desigo CC the Siclimat X object username is used to build up the hierarchy of the logical view and not the technological objectname.
  • Run the siclimat_export_repo --zip script, to create a zip archive which contains the export repository.
  • An export repository with all export files (data points, graphics, scripts, service tests, system information report) is created. The directory name has the format sicx_repo_<date>_<time>.
  1. (Optional) Run the siclimat_export_repo script with the --help option, to see all options.
Run siclimat_export_repo --help to see all options

3 – Exporting Data Points
  1. Log on to the console as the sicx user.
  1. Run the siclimat_export_repo --datapoints script.
  1. Select one of the following:
  • [1] All: Exports all CPUs from all OSs.
  • [2] All from a given OS: Exports all CPUs from a given OS.
  • [3] Select CPUs individually: Exports the selected CPUs. Select the CPUs from the list. The list contains all the CPUs engineered in the whole system that have active communication with Siclimat X. When you select more than one CPU, separate the numbers with a space.
  1. (Optional) Append a tag for the export data or leave it blank to use the default tag.
  • The data points, schedules for these data points, text group information, and calender and workday information are exported to the data points subdirectory of the repository. Most schedule data, such as Tagesplan, Werktagsplan, and Wochenplan, are merged to guarantee an overlap free weekly calendar. The Einmalig and Sondertag schedules are exported as they are. Only schedules containing output objects in exported CPUs are considered for the export. Consequently, some schedules may be partially or completely omitted.
  • The exporter automatically chooses a default output filename with the following format: sicx_exp_${date}_${time}_${cpu_or_os_list}.xml

4 – Exporting Graphics
  • You have prepared graphics for export.
  1. Log on to the console as the sicx user.
  1. Run the siclimat_export_repo --graphics script.
  • The graphics data is exported to the graphics subdirectory of the repository, with a subsequent subdirectory for each OS.
  1. (Optional) To export additional graphics, prepare the graphics for export and then repeat steps 1 and 2.

5 – Exporting Scripts
  1. Log on to the console as the sicx user.
  1. Run the siclimat_export_repo --scripts script.
  • The scripts are exported to the scripts subdirectory of the repository, with one subdirectory per selected OS.

6 – Exporting Service Texts
  1. Log on to the console as the sicx user.
  1. Run the siclimat_export_repo --text script.
  • The service texts are exported as an XML file to the servicetexts subdirectory of the repository. The file contains both English and German versions of the service texts.

7 – Exporting the System Information Report
  1. Log on to the console as the sicx user.
  1. Run the siclimat_export_repo --informationreport script.
  • The system information report is exported to the sysinfo subdirectory of the repository. The report contains information about the Siclimat X installation, such as general system information, schedule information, details about users, groups and rights, and information about standard and customer-specific graphics. The schedule information is based on the raw Siclimat X schedule data and might differ from the merged schedules exported by the siclimat_export_repo --datapoint script.
